Anika said she had a lot of fun, although she said it tired her out.  She's in an all-girls youth league with a few kids from her school.

Anika's First Day of First Grade (09/01/10)

Anika had a rough first day of first grade.  Everything was going good, until we got to school.  When she got out of the minivan, she had two large scratches on her face.  Her sweater had sequins on it.  Apparently, in the car ride to school, she wiped her face on her sequin sweater and incurred two large scratches on her face, right before the start of her first day of first grade.  When we got to her classroom, her teacher offered her a wet towel to help keep the swelling of her scratches down.  Suffice it to say, she was pretty upset by the whole incident.
