Wisconsin Sports History

Should be a great weekend in Wisconsin sports history. For the first time in 30 years, the Brewers will open the playoffs at home with two NLDS games vs the Diamondbacks (Sat, Sun). The Packers take on Denver at Lambeau Field on Sunday. The #8 ranked Nebraska comes to town for their first Big Ten regular season game vs the #7 ranked Badgers in a prime-time nationally-televised game at Camp Randall.

Badger Women's Hockey - Raise The Banner

Watched the Badger women's hockey team raise the banner on their 2011 NCAA Title last night. The game was a bit of a squeaker, as they edged out Lindenwood, 11-0 in the game. After that, a visit to Five Guys was in order.

Midwest Hurling Tournament

watched the 4th annual Midwest Hurling Tournament yesterday, the Twin Cities Hurling Club won the tournament, beating the Madison, Milwaukee and Chicago Hurling Clubs for the title. The kids played at the Cottage Grove Kids Park, it had a new pile of sand that most the kids opted to play in vs. the fancy kids course.

My First Run/Walk Event

I participated in the Sacred Hearts Holy Cow 5K Run/Walk yesterday, my first time doing such an event. Sadly, because my knee was bugging me, it was the walk part.
Afterward, we took the kids to the SP Downtown Art Fair, played a few games of bocce and then went to the Sacred Hearts Fall Festival. Ricky liked the cookie monster and rubber ducky games, while Anika liked hanging out with her friends.
