Big Ten Rugby Sevens Tournament

We went to the first ever Big Ten Rugby Sevens Tournament yesterday. The Badgers are the 2011 Big Ten Rugby Sevens Champions with a 21-14 win over Penn State in the title game.
While I watched the rugby tournament, the kids had fun playing in the Cottage Grove Kids Park nearby.

Anika's First Roller Coaster Ride

Anika had her first roller coaster ride yesterday, and she loved it!  We took the kids to Little Amerricka and they had a blast!

Anika's favorite rides were the Meteor, the Tobaggon and the Mad Mouse roller coasters.  Rick's favorite rides were the Hampton classic cars, the Fire Truck rescue and the Red Barron airplanes.  They also got to watch a magic show.

Two Madison Mallards games in two nights

Took the kids to two Madison Mallards games vs. the Battle Creek Bombers in two nights.
The first night, Anika gave Maynard the Mallard mascot a big hug. The ladies got a big kick out of watching the grounds crew do their little dance routine in between innings. It was a high-scoring game, but the Mallards lost 10-5.

The second night, it was funny to watch two guys in green and yellow morph suits run out on to the outfield, chased by security guards and escape through the door in the center field wall. Rain delayed the game in the 5th, but the Mallards finished out the game winning 4-1.
Here is a link to the youtube video, the info says "video of a random fan in a green morph suit enters the field from the Duck Blind, shakes a few Mallard employees and escapes through the center field fence."
