Anika in the Madison Catholic Herald (December 2, 2010)

Anika and a few of her classmates in first grade at Sacred Hearts were pictured in this week's Madison Catholic Herald for celebrating Advent around the world (Page 9, December 2, 2010).  Anika is wearing a green vest in the picture.

Each day throughout the Advent season, her class learns about a new country and how their culture celebrates Advent and Christmas.  Her class has the task of locating countries on their classroom Smartboard, then decorating a symbol relating to that country.

Halloween (Oct 31, 2010)

Anika dressed up as a scary character (with a freaky looking, fencing-type mask), she told people she was a "mummy."  Ricky wore a fire rescue outfit, firefighter hat along with a toy dalmatian dog.  Ricky didn't do as much trick-or-treating as Anika as he was in one heck of a bad mood.

Anika's First Basketball Practice (Oct 30, 2010)

Anika had her first basketball practice today.  Everyone in the league got their own basketball, so she was pretty excited about getting a new basketball.  The balls were red & white, Sun Prairie's colors.  The teams worked on dribbling, passing and shooting in their first practice.

I would have taken many more pictures, but the camera malfunctioned for some reason, so all I have are these two photos.  That's her coach standing next to her in the first picture.

 

 

Badger Men's Basketball Scrimmage (Oct 24, 2010)

Took the kids to the Badger Men's Basketball scrimmage on Sunday.  Amy, Anika & Rick were shown on the jumbotron.  After the game, we went down to the court to get a picture of the kids with Bucky, but Ricky was scared of Bucky.

Pajama Day

Pajama day at school for Anika, she's decked out in her iCarly pjs.  She wasn't real thrilled about getting her picture taken so early in the morning.  Her school has a dress-up week, where they have to wear a different type of outfit each day of the week.
